POLICIES & PROCEDURES
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
In effort to preserve our special studio flooring:
NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in the studio other than water.
NO STREET SHOES are allowed on our studio dance floor.
DO NOT WEAR DANCE SHOES outside.
CLASS PROCEDURES
To help avoid injury, students should arrive to class on time for a proper warm-up.
Students arriving late to class (10 minutes or more for (1) hour class, 5 minutes or more for 30-45min classes) may not be allowed to participate in the class. Arriving "on time" for class means students arrive 5-10 minutes before their class begins.

A student may be made to sit & and watch their class, or may be excused from a class, for disruptive behavior.

Parents/guardians of our younger students ages 9 months - 5 yrs old, please be available for the duration of your child's class. Each of our studio's has a lobby area for a parent to sit & wait for their child during his or her class.

Proper attire is to be worn for all classes. Please see our Dress Code page for detailed information.

Missed classes may be made-up in an appropriate class level as a courtesy; availability cannot be guaranteed.

Consistent refusal to abide by the dress code (for classes where leotards are required) will result in the Studio providing attire "for the day" at $10 per day for a (rental) clean leotard. Additional charges will apply if tights are required for class.

NO JEWELRY allowed on children during class. Adults who wear dangling jewelry during class (bracelets, anklets, necklaces, long earrings, etc.) assume their own risk of injury/catching clothing or skin etc. on jewelry worn.

Connections Studio reserves the right to change schedules, lesson plans, events, and/or instructor, etc., of any class as necessary.
Connections Studio reserves the right to dismiss or refuse service to anyone who does not comply with these rules or who otherwise, in our judgment, disrupts the harmony and reputation of our studio.
DROP-OFF/ PICK UP
Parents/Guardians of youngers students ages 9 months - 5 yrs old, please be available for the duration of your child's class. Parents/Guardians are welcome & encouraged to sign-in & drop-off their child (age 5 & up) at the studio during their scheduled class time.
For parents wanting to remain in studio during their child's class time please be seated and wait for your child in our lobby area. If you are waiting for your child in our lobby area, please be mindful and considerate of the activities going on around you, including but not limited to students & instructors in class, your fellow parents, etc. If you need to take a phone call please do so outside of the studio during class time.
We appreciate your cooperation!

We are not responsible for students leaving the facility after their scheduled class time. If you are running late to pick up your child from class, please call the studio.

We ask that all parents/guardians prepare their child for the possible late pick-up by instructing them to wait inside the facility with our staff until you arrive, or in extensive/emergent circumstances if other arrangements have been made with authorities. If you are late, you assume full responsibility for your child's welfare.
PROPERTY/VALUABLES
We are not liable for any damage to or loss of personal property/valuables.
Liability for damage to the facility will rest on the offender or their parent/guardian.
Any choreography taught during classes, workshops, intensives, private lessons, etc., is the sole property of Connections Studio, Inc. and may not be copied or used for any activity outside of the Studio's scope without the written permission of Connections Studio, Inc. and its owner, L. Alatorre.
CLASS PLACEMENT
In order for our students to get the most out of their classes, instructors will evaluate students regularly for proper class placement. All class placements are at the discretion of the Connections Studio Instructors.
Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.
We base our classes on skill level, rather than solely based on age. Students are considered to be "training in" the level they are placed and may remain in the level for several sessions to acquire the skills needed to move on to the next level of training.
WALK-IN CLASSES
PHOTOS/ VIDEOS
Walk-ins are welcome based on space availability and allowed for select classes only.
ALL imagery including, but not limited to, photography & videography of any kind of our students is the sole property of Connections Studio, Inc. and may be used at the discretion of the Studio for advertising/promotional purposes.
PARENT VIEWING
For ages 6 & up, a special class viewing will be held the last week of class before Christmas & Summer Break.
ADVANCED & INTERMEDIATE LEVELS
Connections Studio, Inc. believes Ballet to be the foundation of dance and is necessary to achieve an array of skills including but not limited to strength, technique, endurance, balance/body awareness, discipline, gracefulness, etc.
ADVANCED & INTERMEDIATE LEVELS
Students enrolled in Intermediate or Advanced classes who pan to participate in our productions must take the following classes (in appropriate level):
*Ballet - no less than 3 hours a week
In addition to the above ballet requirments, Demi-Pointe & Pointe program must take no less than 1 hour of Demi-Pointe/Pointe a week.
*Jazz/Modern/Tap - no less than 1 hour a week of Int/Adv. Ballet
*For recreational students, and those not participating our productions, these class requirements do not apply.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are suggested for students who may require one-on-one attention/instruction or that have specific goals fo themselves in their activities such as dance, tumbling/gymnastics, cheer/poms, ice skating, fitness, voice, piano, theatre, modeling, etc.
INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED LEVELS
Evaluations are conducted before students begin Private Lessons at Connections Studio.
Private lessons are offered in all classes offered at Connections Studio as well as additional options in conditioning, stretching, audition preparation, and more.

Private lessons are scheduled based on studio availability, with full payment due prior to lesson.
We require 24 hour advanced cancellation notice to ensure you are not charged for the lesson. With the proper advanced notice, canceled lessons may be rescheduled based on studio availability. Missed lessons are not refunded or rescheduled.
PERFORMANCES
It is our hope to present a "performance" every summer to allow our students the opportunity to perform " on stage" and show off all of their hard work. Location to be announced for "showcase" years.
All students registered in a "performance" class are expected to participate in the performance. Please inform the studio staff at the time of registration if you/your child will not be participating in the year end performance; proper class adjustments will be made.
For students to participate in any performance, they must attend class regularly.
Students excessively absent from class may be removed from the show/performance at the instructor's discretion.
Class schedules may change during the week of Dress Rehearsals. There will be no regularly scheduled classes on Rehearsal/Performance days. Dress Rehearsal & Productions are held in place of normal classes held at the studio.
COSTUMES
Parents/guardians are responsible for purchasing necessary costumes from Connections Studio by the January due date, TBD yearly. Costume payments are non-refundable and transferable. Returns/Exchanges are not guaranteed.
PHOTOS/ VIDEOS
NO videography/photography/audiography allowed at performances/productions.
BACKSTAGE
NO unauthorized parents are permitted backstage. NO EXCEPTIONS.

$40/student; registration discounts are applied to additional, immediate family members.

REGISTRATION FORM
A registration form must be completed before participation in any of our classes/events/etc. For minors, registration must be completed by a parent/legal guardian.
CLASS FEES
Class fees/payments are due by the 30th of each month (for the month of February 28th or 29th respectively).
CANCELLING ACCOUNTS
A 30-day notice prior to the next billing cycle is required to cancel an account. Without a 30-day notice, the account holder agrees to pay any & all remaining fees, in FULL, for all registered classes.
